The city of wausau proves to have some shady attorney's. I hired Dale Eaton after a lengthy conversation about the goals I had for my peticular case. He told me everything I wanted to hear. I paid him a $2500 dollar retainer. We had a trial date set and coming up and I tried contacting Mr. Eaton several times in the coming weeks before trial with no luck. 2 days before trial I get an email from Mr.Eaton stating he was substituting another attorney by the name of Trevor Peterson because he had overbooked on another big business meeting and Trevor was to be my new attorney. Trevor has limited experience in the type of case I have. Thankfully the trial got pushed out but then Mr Eaton decides to bill me another 4997.02 for his services. That's rediculous. These people are crooks. Please don't put yourself in a shady situation like I did. Look elsewhere for a attorney that is honest and has integrity.i have hired a new attorney and I will be filing a grievance against this firm

I am going to edit this review in response to their reply. I never said Trevor Peterson was a bad attorney. The problem lies with Dale Eaton who owns the firm. Mr Eaton knows better than to substitute an attorney for a client. Especially without the clients knowledge or approval and then to charge that client the amount of money he did is way left field. We will let the grievance I am filing iron this out

Called twice with no receptionist to answer. Left two messages requesting a call back for family law representation. Never got a call back. After my review posted i received a voice mail from a senior partner apologizing for the two missed calls that she looked into as well as an explanation on how the calls were missed. The following day I received a phone call from the receptionist her self with a full sincere apology from her. We are all human and make mistakes so apologies accepted. I can see they do care about their professionalism and quickly made right of a mistake that was brought to their attention. My rating of yhem went from a one star to a four.

I was in a bad marriage and needed a lawyer. I was lucky to have a friend that used the services of Attorney Overbey for his divorce and Daniel came highly recommended. I met with Daniel and knew that he was the Attorney I needed to get the job done. Attorney Overbey is well spoken, respected by the courts, honest, caring, and really does have my best interests in mind.
